Annual General Meeting 2014

This year's Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 23 September 2014, 7:00 pm at the Moutere Hills Community Centre.

Please join us on the day to hear updates on our projects and current issues: creating a pathway from the village to the community centre, speed limits on local roads, improving the local water supply.

Also: association matters, financial report and elections, let us know about your concerns.

This is a public meeting and all the community is warmly invited to attend and take part. Please note that only association members will be able to vote in the elections. Moutere Hills residents are invited to join the association through our website, or at the AGM. A detailed agenda will be available as we get closer to the date.

Annual General Meeting 2013

The Moutere Hills Residents Association would like to invite you to their Annual General Meeting on

Tuesday 24 September 2013 at 6 pm at the Upper Moutere School Hall

The committee will present updates from the Community Pathway project - creating a walk- and cycleway between Upper Moutere Village and the Community Centre.

We will discuss Speed Limits in our area, namely on those roads where there is local residents concern and which we are trying to get looked at by council. Our ward councillors Cr Trevor Norris and Cr Brian Ensor have confirmed they will be present and available to discuss the subject.

Also, all constitutional association issues will be addressed at this meeting (accounts review, elections and plans for the next year) - please see the full agenda for more details.

Next Public Meeting

The next public meeting will be the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 24 September. The exact time (evening) and venue will be announced closer to the day. Invitations will be sent out by email to all members.

MHRA Website Online

The website for the Moutere Hills Residents Association has gone on-line. We hope that this site will serve as

  • first point of contact for anybody interested in our work
  • channel of project updates and a place to collect comments and suggestions
  • the place to go if you would like to join the MHRA

MHRA Founded!

At the recent public meeting on 01/10/2012 the Moutere Hills Residents Association was formally created.

With twenty founding members we were able to ratify our society rules and are now on our way to becoming incorporated. Thanks to all who joined us at the meeting and we will keep you updated of events!

Community Association for the Moutere Hills Mooted

A recent meeting of residents living in the inner Moutere Hills area voted unanimously to form a local Community Association, to address community issues.

Support for this move came from attending Moutere Ward councillors Trevor Norriss and Brian Ensor. They told the meeting the Council preferred to work with representative community groups to discuss local issues and get feedback.
