With a number of environmental issues currently being consulted on by the Government, Beef+Lamb NZ is running an Environmental Issues Farmer Roadshow to help farmers understand what's going on, get feedback from farmers on their thoughts on the policies being proposed, and to provide advice for farmers wanting to make a submission.

In Tasman, the B+LNZ roadshow is at Moutere Hills Community Centre in Upper Moutere on Thursday October 24 from 5:30pm till 8:30pm. All farmers welcome.

Landcare Trust: Local Catchment Group to Improve Waterways

The NZ Landcare Trust is a national charitable organisation which works with land owners and land users to "encourage and support sustainable land and water management".

The trust brings together different interest groups and engages in practical work such as planting trees, as has happened on one local property in the Moutere only recently.

The trust will hold a group launch meeting on Tuesday 12 November 2019 from 6:45pm at the Moutere Hills Community Centre. Please see this flyer and come along to the meeting to learn more.
